Beschreibung: Non identified compilation, probably incomplete, datable from 1926, which collects different segments of celebrations of the Italian victory. Some images are taken from documentaries produced by the Royal Italian Army cinematographic section and show the two redeemed cities, Trento and Trieste, which conquest allowed to expand the borders of the Nation (respectively segments taken from Ingresso degli Italiani a Trento and from Primo saluto di Trieste liberata al suo Re, both produced by the Regio Esercito in 1918). The other event is the inauguration ceremony, dated August 1926, of the monumental charnel house built on the Pasubio, mountain at the border between the actual Veneto and Trentino regions, one of the most intense frontlines between Italy and Austrian Empire. These images probably represent the only filmed document of this event, which, on the contrary, is widely narrated by the newspapers. The images show an “old time hero”, a soldier of the Garibaldi troops, in front of a commemorative stone placed on the old border between Italy and the Austrian Empire, honouring a poet-soldier who fought against the Austrians in 1848.
